3 weddings

I finally reached home on Friday evening, after a transit in Kajang and an early date in Serdang. The journey took longer because of the road patching along the north-south highway. My stomach was already rumbling in pain as I reached Pontian. Harahenta~~~~ *_*

So anyway the real YB trip started on Saturday for Anem's wedding. It was great. Many turned up, of course most are the same faces for wedding, hehehe - Abby, Sue Mail, Nini, Odah, Qis, Imah, Tut, Nofie and her 2 daughters, Ina Maz and husband, Yus, Zamose, Edda, Apau, Mat Nor, Iswan, Pumpkin, Abot, Azwad, Areng and some faces I knew but I forgot their names, sorry *_* Ina was with her husband and daughter - Normadiha. Too bad I did not mange to take her baby's picture.

Maleh nak bercerite panjang, here are some pictures from Anem's wedding.

From l to r: Edda, Imah, Nofie (blocked by Imah) Sue Mail, Farah (Nofie's firstborn) Cepot, Lin Malek, Qis, yours truly and Odah. The groom and bride posing behind.

Nofie's 2nd kid - Fika

Group pic (Areng shy-shy tak masuk gambar).

Second day, went out early in the morning to Edda's house in Sungai Telur. We planned to go together to Su-San's wedding in Kota Jaya since her house is just along the way from Kulai. After a short talk with her parents of we went to Along's house with Yus and Zamose, also in Kota Jaya to visit her and her baby, Zati. Kawaii deshou?

Then off we went to Su-san's house nearby. We were early of course since we want to have ample time to go to 2 weddings for the day - hers in Kota Tinggi and Syasya's in JB. Managed to meet up with Harlin, Nazrah and Malia.

Second stop for the day - Syasya's wedding in Taman Perling. I haven't seen her for years and all of us had to wait for the DJ's announcement since we don't want to attend the wrong place for the second time. We nearly went to the wrong house earlier so of course, second error is kind of freaky.

Ujai turned up for the wedding, with her husband and her son - yes we have a boy in the baby group. Here's the pic.

Ujai is working at Hospital Sultan Ismail, so if you want an MC you can ask her or her husband, hehehehe.

Okay done with my report with all the pics of friends and babies- as requested by Along *phew*

Tasukete!!!!!!!!!! @_@

Today we went for another SBE (School-base-experience) session at a nearby school. Examination week has started for the pupils and as you can see earlier I was quite free at the common room that I had an opportunity to go bonkers over the upcoming holiday. So anyway the subliminal feeling lasted until a teacher asked my friends and I to take care of the music test. Za had to take care of year 4N, Linda year 5D while yours truly get to take care the whole hall filled with year 6 pupils.

I know it was going to be hard *sighs. But anyway it is another experience for me.

It was 11.30am when I made my way to the examination venue. Pupils were running all over the place until I had to project my voice throughout the hall.

"Gikgu, cantik baju cikgu"
"Cikgu, tempak saya dok kena kipah cikgu, panah"
"Cikgu, periksa gapo cikgu?"

Aisehmen -_-;

After distributing the answer sheet and questions, the exam began. The first 5 minutes some of the pupils already started fidgeting, doing all they could to copy from their friends.

"Cikgu, guano nak jawak? Dok belaja lagi ni"

"Siapa cikgu nampak bual lagi, cikgu ambik kertas jawapan sekarang jugak!!"

Well that trick works.....
For that time only la as afterwards they started to tembak like crazy -_-;

As one of the teachers had warned us, some of them might have finished with their answers in 10 minutes. After they were done with their answers we just have to make sure that they do not wander outside. True to the prediction, some of them were done with the answers and started talking with their friends, switching places, writing love letters, melaram in front of a small mirror. Uwahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!

"Cikgu, nak kecing cikgu"
"Teacher, may I please go out?"
"Cikgu, dok tahan nak kecing cikgu"
"Cikgu, dia tumbuk saya cikgu"
"Cikgu, dia cakap bapak saya cikgu"

Then it felt like hours instead of 1 hour. I was more than glad when the clock reached 11.35am. What a day. What an experience *_*

Countdown Towards CUTI!!!!!

Minutes are like hours
Seconds are like days (exaggerating la)

I'm just all psyched up for the upcoming 3-weeks holiday
Yes!!!
3 long weeks of doing anything - visiting friends, movies, weddings, gatherings, sleeping, kacau my adik at home, basically anything
Yatta!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*Gilo aku huhuhu

Roy sent me an sms yesterday informing that she had safely deliver her baby girl, who weighs 3.1kg at 4.27pm. I'm excited enough to finally get the chance to visit Along and her baby, Nofie and her kids, now I got another visit on the list - Roy.

Whoaaaa, my to-do list is already full before the holiday even started. Hanim's wedding on 26th, Su-San's and Syasya on 27th @_@ serupa YB pulak, hehehehe.

Happy Teacher's Day!!!

This is the first time in my life anyone wishes me 'Happy Teacher's Day!'
Woke up at 4am to do some assignment and as time gradually pass, suddenly

"Happy Teacher's Day, Kak Diah!!!"

No, no, no it's not the Hantu-penyikat-rambut who wished me that. It was my room-mate, Aie who wished me as she woke up. Got numerous messages and well wishes all around me afterwards. Huwaaaaa ureshi XD

Sightings

Have you ever encountered any scary situation in your life?
I had my fair share before at school and at this particular hostel - Mr. Poch, Mr. Black thingy with red eyes and Ms. laugh-back-at-my-laugh.
But nothing compared to what happened this early morning.

I slept at my friend's room since both of our room-mate was away. I slept on the empty bed and I have to say that I slept quite early at about 11ish pm. Sometime afterwards I was kinda realized, in between my conscious and sub-conscious mind 'something' went past over me. Then I felt that my hair was being brushed. Well at first it was just feeling like something was combing my hair. I thought it was kind of funnyla because all I thought was "Okay, feels good as long as it doesn't tangled up at the end of the hair tip."

Then it hit me, you have seen how the beds here were arranged. How is it possible for anyone to comb my long hair without even turning it to my left side? Then I felt like my hair was combed with something sharp. Something that felt like blade tip on my scalp. I woke up just to feel myself being trapped and unable to move. Darn it. I haven't gone through that for years so I tried to do what experience taught me - move my head to snap out from the immobility. Then I felt like the thing went to my backside *author's note: I was sleeping facing the wall on my right side*. I could move just to feel my head snapping back to it's original place. Then I tried calling for my friend with all I could, even if I felt my mouth was stuck but I knew I managed to cry out something.

And then I heard a voice.

"Panggil lah lagi."

Kurang ajar punye hantu.

All the sudden after some fighting, I could move. I looked at my phone beside my pillow. It was 1.52am. I looked at my friend, she seemed to be asleep. But then she looked at me and opened her eyes. Punyela berderau darah.

"Akak ngigau la tadi."

"Ye ke? Ngigau ape?" I asked, just to confirm myself if what I had gone thrrough was just a dream or not.

"Ntah, macam bunyi org nangis. Bunyik tak bukak mulut pastu kepala gerak-geraklaaa. Hish, akak ni, time ni laaa nak ngigau."

Then I heard the sound of a cat meowing very weirdly outside. I've heard that sound before. It does not sound like cats in mating heat or in a fight. It sounded like it was moaning very long and at certain level it sounded like a baby mewling *shivers*. My neck felt like I had a session of 'salah bantal' in the morning which miraculously went away after I went for my Subuh prayer.

Blast From The Past

What song did you hear when you were growing up?

Apart from my sister's influence who loves Ace of Base so much at that time.
Apart from my brother's strong likeness towards KRU and Feminin *hehehe*
I still manage to get my own preference on the music at that time. It was the so-called boy-band era. Numerous boy-bands of that time such as Backstreet Boys, N'sync, 911, 5ive, Natural, A1, Code Red, Caught in The Act so on and so forth.

So anyway, for this weekend spent the time with Linda singing our lungs out any songs that we could remember from the shower to our rooms. The song that kept playing in my head is 5ive's Until The Time Is Through. Brought me back to my secondary school years when radio is a must and at that time I had to smuggle my walkman in. Of coursela, my school at that time did not allow any forms of entertainment nor any magazines that were associated with it. Then again, as some of you might get bored of hearing, it's the best time in my life, those 5 years I mean.

Here's my 'earworm' of the week

Until The Time Is Through - 5ive

Now and Forever, Until the Time Is Through

I Can't Believe It, I Don't Know Where to Start,
No Baby, So Many Questions Deep Inside My Heart

Give Me a Moment Before You Go,
There's Something You Ought to Know.

[chorus]
Baby Now and Forever,
Until the Time Is Through (Until the Time Is Through),
I'll Be Standing Here,
Waiting and Never Give Up My Faith in You (Give Up My Faith in You),
Trying to Make It Clear,
Without Your Love, I'd Be Half a Man, Maybe One Day, You'll Understand,
Now and Forever, Until the Time Is Through

I'll Be Waiting!

How Can I Tell You, So That You Can See,
You Know That, Love Has a Meaning,
When You Are Here With Me (When You Are Here With Me Baby)

Give Me a Moment Before You Go,
There's Something You Ought to Know.

[chorus]
Baby Now and Forever,
Until the Time Is Through (Until the Time Is Through),
I'll Be Standing Here,
Waiting and Never Give Up My Faith in You (Give Up My Faith in You),
Trying to Make It Clear,
Without Your Love, I'd Be Half a Man, Maybe One Day, You'll Understand,
Now and Forever, Until the Time Is Through

There Is no One to Comfort Me,
Here in My Cold Reality,
I'm Searching For Words,
What Can I Say to Make You See.

Baby Now, Until the Time Is Through, I'll Be Here. [2x]

[chorus]
Baby Now and Forever,
Until the Time Is Through (Until the Time Is Through),
I'll Be Standing Here,
Waiting and Never Give Up My Faith in You (Give Up My Faith in You),
Trying to Make It Clear,
Without Your Love, I'd Be Half a Man, Maybe One Day, You'll Understand,
Now and Forever, Until the Time Is Through

p.s: For you bebeh ;)

Attack of The Killer Ants

Okay, so I exaggerate on the 'killer' part. The thing is, I have ants problem in my room. One thing for surela, the occupants of this room are surely sweet *perasaan tak hengat*. Not that I have lots of sweet food in store - Pringles, maggi mee, honey which I kept it air tight in layers of plastic, Milo 3 in 1 and oats, that's about it. It is also mind boggling when the ants kept aiming for my electric kettle. The water was not even sweetened, aaarghhhh. So Za & I took matter into our own hand - we bought ant chalks.

This is just about how we go about using the chalk, if some of you are new to the concept of using chalk to repel ants.

1. Make a circle or line on where you don't want the ants to be in.

2. Put any food or stuff that you don't want to be infested by ants inside the circle.

3. Voila! Ants can't get in.
That small lined-up dots are the ants that could not get in.

Anyway, you could always use the chalk for something else, like:-

Call Kal-el back to Krypton *snickers*

Making S.O.S sign to the cape crusader, if he realize the symbol was for him lah.

Kill off the demons or opening the door to otherworld.
The power of three will set you free, hehehehe

Making outline of the victim at the crime scene @_@

XD XD XD

Blurry mind,
Vermilion eyes,
Night has gone,
Morning comes,
Confession of time,
Opening of mind,
We both said yes,
A new leaf has turned.

To say out loud,
I'm segan,
Not to say anything here,
Tak kena la pulak,
To jump here and there,
Nanti kena masuk Tanjung Rambutan,
To stay still and do nothing,
Sangatla tak kena.

What is tak kena?
Err...
Anou ...
Ahhh ...

Takde pape yang tak kena *fallsover*
Happy gila, ngehehe.

p.s: this is an example of nonsense poem - in honesty.
tapi what I wrote up there is partially nonsense and non-nonsense
I'm confusing myself again *_*

The Zombie Walks :p

Been a great Friday. Morning went off to the KL International Book Fair with Curx, with the original intent of looking for books relevant to my current English assignment. Found some and also bought a comic by our local artist. The graphic attracted my eyes, but the dialogue inside was kind of a drag and the bubble was kinda distracting. Something that can be improved, I'm sure.

After returning from the book fair, made my way to my cousin's house in Jln Klang Lama for her solemnization ceremony. Well, at this hour my head is basically occupied elsewhere so I'd better just paste some piccies I took from the ceremony.

Hantaran belah perempuan

Hantaran belah lelaki

Cucu Ra'ah
Anak Pahmi, anak Jun, anak Bedah & anak Din
P.s: Curx, the pic I've been telling you, hehehe

Powdered Donuts

I'm hungry.
There's nothing to do at the class.
It seems like forever, having to wait until 10am to finally have the booth open.
One heck of a convocation eh?

Anyway, just a post for today
Thanks to Areng (teringin aku nak jumpe anak-anak kau, esp harumi, hehe) for asking me Remioromen's Konayuki
1 litre of tears
Definitely means you will cry a litre of tears watching it la
Synopsis wise
A high school girl found out that she was diagnosed with Spinocerebellar Degeneration
Her body system failed her bit by bit
From her movement to her speech
Her lifespan was short
Based on the real life story (minus the boyfriend character) of Aya... I forgot her surname

Konayuki (Powdered Snow) - Remioromen

Konayuki mau kisetsu wa itsumo sure chigai
The season in which the powdered snow dances always passes by
Hitogomi ni magirete mo onaji sora miteru no ni
Even if I’m lost in a crowd I can see the same sky
Kaze ni fukarete nita you ni kogoeru no ni
Even though I'm chilled as if I'm being blown by the wind

Boku wa kimi no subete nado shitte wa inai darou
I don't know anything about you, do I?
Soredemo ichi oku nin kara kimi wo mitsuketa yo
And yet, I found you amongst a billion people
Konkyo wa naikedo honki de omotterunda
There's no basis for this, but I believe this with all seriousness

Sasaina ii aimo nakute, Onaji jikan wo ikite nado ike nai
We can't live at the same time without trivial fights
Sunao ni nare nai nara Yorokobi mo kanashimi mo munashii dake
If we can't be ourselves, then happiness and sadness are both just lies

Konayuki nee kokoro made shiroku somerareta nara
Powdered snow, if you paled me white to the heart
Futari no kodoku wo wake au koto ga dekita no kai
Can you share our loneliness?

Boku wa kimi no kokoro ni mimi wo oshi atete
I pressed my ear against your heart
Sono koe no suru hou he sutto fukaku made
I want to go down toward the sound of your voice
Orite yukitai soko de mou ichi do aou
Until I get down that deep, let's meet up there again

Wakari aitai nante
I want us to understand
Uwabe wo nadete itano wa boku no hou
I was the one who stroked the surface
Kimi no kajikanda te mo nigirishimeru
Even though we were connected by
Koto dakede tsunagatteta no ni
Me holding your hand that was numb with the cold

Konayuki nee eien wo mae ni amari ni moroku
Powdered snow, hey, you, in a way that is too fragile
Zara tsuku ASUFARUTO no ue shimi ni natte yuku yo
Turn eternity into a stain on the rough asphalt up ahead

Konayuki nee toki ni tayori naku kokoro wa yureru
Powdered snow, hey, my unreliable heart wavers
Soredemo boku wa kimi no koto mamori tsuduketai
And yet, I want to keep protecting you

Konayuki nee kokoro made shiroku somerareta nara
Powdered snow, hey, when you colored us white, all the the way to my heart
Futari no kodoku wo tsutsunde sora ni kaesu kara
You envelop our loneliness, and return it back to the sky

Saturday Morning *yawns*

I'm studying for Gerko paper later in the aftenoon.

But still it won't stop me from doing a simple test and paste it here, ngehehehe.

Fangirl Alert

Warning! Warning!!

Fangirl rant up ahead

ARASHI'S NEW PV IS OUT!!!!
URESHI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! XD XD XD

The OST for Bambino, Jun's drama after Hana Yori Dango 2 uwahhhhhh
Simply love the 'selang-selang masuk' theme that they use for the PV. Kawaii~~~
Nino!!! still wanting to watch his Clint Eastwood movie debut in Letters From Iwojina (Iwojima Kara No Tegami). Better try looking for the dvd in HP when I get back to Johor.
Gomenne Aina, your Sho caught my eyes for the whole PV, hahahaha
Esp when he was rapping and covering his ears XD XD XD

Okay, non-fangirl part

Went to Kuala Besut this morning to buy breakfast. The weather is unusually cold. When I say unusual, it means unusual as it is the drought season now. Usually it's so hot that my clothes went dry and crispy when I hung it outside - even if I soaked it in fabric softener and even if I hung it dripping and soaking wet.

So Curx, here's how etok-etok looks like ^_^

Tasty, sedap, oishii, hehehehe. Adik beradik kepah

Looking forward to get back to Serdang this coming 30th April til 5th May. Of course I will miss my cousin's wedding on the 6th (of coursela, Ganu starts the week on Sunday maaa). Still torn whether to pre-order my Harry Potter 7 in Kota Bharu or in KL as I don't know where I will be on 21st July. One thing's for sure, I definitely have to have that book. The pre-order will end on 2nd May at Popular. I want to know what will happen to Harry while hunting for Voldemort's horcruxes. Die Voldemort, die!!! *Avada Kedavra!!!!*

I know my bro will be busy handling the book fair this coming week for KarnaDya and I know the book fair is something that I am looking forward to. You can blame him for making me a bookworm since he's the one who introduced me to Christopher Pike and then Ahadiat Akashah >_< *Buku Bangbil ade sampai kat sini. Aritu cek balik, dah abis kat kedai tu*

Better get back to my assignment.
I have a test tomorrow for sports *_*

Tadaima!!!

Just got back from the Pandu Puteri Kadet course at Bukit Sireh in Kuala Krai. Of coursela talks talks and talks with some physical activities. When I said physical activities, think back when you were a kid and have to involve in a camping at the school football field. Constructing 'gejet', sing songs and all that. Well that's basically it but the difference was that it was somewhat a course on how to teach our future pupils on how to be a girl guide.

Never thought that I have to wear a uniform again at this age -_-;

The best part, for me lah - the course involved IPs for east zone - IP Kota Bharu, IP Kuala Terengganu, IP Sultan Mizan and IP Tengku Ampuan Afzan. Surprise surprise, I got reunited with my secondary school friend Nani. I didn't know that she's also a teslian in IPKB and boy was I happy when we were put in the same group too. Well actually her IP was the host organizer and I have to say when she read my name on the list of the group before the course started she sms me straight away. Certainly my father's LONG name (my name is way shorter than his -_-; ) is something that she can't forget.

Some pictures from the course

Nani and I

Ntah siape ntah zzzzzzz

with some poyo performance that night

Off topic:
Aaarghhhh Arashi Around Asia con +natsucon DVD is out for pre-order!!!! Mecha takai!!!! o.O Kena buat dajjal and wait for someone kind enough to upload it -_-;

Goodbye My Phone

I got back to the IP just this morning.

Got of the bus, went into the cab
Mid way
Oh SH*T. WTH is my phone? *pardon my language*
Not my beloved SGH-E870 that I bought myself for my 25th b-day *nasib baik*
Which I put my Celcom number
But my LG5300
Which held my Maxis number
My companion since 2003 after my Nokia 3210 was lost in the bus
History repeats itself once more
Another bus? Grrrraaaahhhhh

But then it's fine I think.
4 years with me is good enough.
The silver colour was badly faded.
Especially the battery side.
It has numerous nicks - courtesy of 2 and a half years of working with contractors.
It even survived after being dipped into a mud.
Accidentally.
But no phone would survive theft.
The phone jams a lot.
And it couldn't detect the sim card sometimes.

Gonna miss that little bugger.

Domo arigatou,
Sayonara, watashi no keitai m(_ _)m

Tag - lagi

Seems I get the endless tag. But then again it is a good excuse for updating, hehehehe

Sooooo the tag this time is about a test - what is your true colour.

Here's mine ^_^

Nadiah, your true color is Brown!

You're brown, a credible, stable color that's reminiscent of fine wood, rich leather, and wistful melancholy. Most likely, you're a logical, practical person ruled more by your head than your heart. With your inquisitive mind and insatiable curiosity, you're probably a great problem solver. And you always gather all of the facts before coming to a timely, informed decision. Easily intrigued, you're constantly finding new ways to challenge your mind, whether it's by reading the newspaper, playing a trivia game, or composing a piece of music. Brown is an impartial, neutral color, which means you tend to see the difference between fact and opinion easily and are open to many points of view. Trustworthy and steady, you really are a brown at heart.

What's Your True Color?

Hmm.... I don't know, some true, some maybe, some not at all, hahaha

Rant

I have to go on a bus tomorrow at 8am.
I got assignments to submit on 8th April
But,
I won't be around until 9th April because I'm the 'bidan terjun' storyteller who will be presenting the institute (of mental health) for KAGUM because the original story-teller was involved in an accident and unable to turn his head properly.
I haven't even memorize the story.
I know I won't be able to finish my task properly if I were to submit tomorrow.
And that particular assignment will be the whole mark for that particular subject.
to quote from the lecturer.
"Pandai-pandai awaklah, ni pun saya dah bagi extra days untuk awak semua hantar"
BANGANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jolly Weekend *rolls around*

As much as I was 'patah kaki' with the lack of transportation around in my disposal ie: my trusty Kancil, I still managed to go around and enjoy my weekend off. Friday morning was my hibernating day of some sort. Stayed still at my sis' place in UKM, going out just to have lunch and hang around at her office with some hope to get internet connection. Boy I was unlucky. The guest wifi line was not that strong enough and of course la i have to pay extra for the hotspot line.

Night time, went to Mines for what supposed to be solely bowling session until my sister got veered off with the numerous SALES tag available at nearly all outlet. Well, I nearly did too. Saw this gorgeous yukata sold at one of the shops and I drooled over it. The cost was quite okay but then again until I get my allowance, I could only shop with my eyes. Uwaaaahhhhh... the black with pink flower yukata on display was soooooooooooo lovely *sighs*. Just suitable for this year's Bon Odori - when and if I get to go there in July lah. If not dream on ajelah. Played bowling with Curx, Lan, Iso and Archiq - my bowling talents are getting rustier, that one I have to admit. But then again I had fun, despite the numerous gutter ball I had ^_^ Tanoshikatta ne~~~ Next time can bowling again *flexing arms with 10lbs dumbbell*

Supper at Maulana F. C. *pic 'curik'ed from Za's blog*

Saturday, went off to Midvalley to watch Encik Kacang *hehe*. Of course la expected all the funny faces of Mr Bean and his innocent ways to get himself to the beach. Went browsing at MPH and yet again my eyes went bonkers. There are so many books I want to buy, in Jusco, no need to say, so many beautiful dresses on sale. Shop with my eyes lah - again. And there's the new Harry Potter book to pre-order. I know I just have to travel to Kota Bahru to get the book when it is finally released. Will Harry get to destroy all the horcruxes? Who will be dead in the last book? The questions are driving me mad.

Anyway today's 1st April - April Fools. It seems like a bad joke to realize I have to make way back to Besut tonight. Malasnye... Till next time, jya, matane *waves*

B.I.G

I got back from Tebu View Camp at Gunung Tebu (duh) for B.I.G yesterday and boy was I beat. Washed a heap of clothes, my feet felt like it were going to fall off and nothing beats the comfortability of my bed in 'penjara besut' (hehe).

Overall it was great. Gone through series of hiking and water expedition. Unlike any other camp I've attended, we have to take turn cooking for the whole troop. That part was fine too. The physical part was exciting. I can't help but imagining as one of the characters in LOTR as we hiked up Gunung Tebu. Well of course I was more like the Hobbits going through the woods in the journey to Mount Doom in Mordor to throw the ring of power in the volcano. If onlyla the ranger was as handsome as Aragorn or heavenly like Legolas *sighs* Berangan aje lebih, thee hee hee.

Water Expedition, l to r - classmate, neighbour, yours truly, roomie.

Our class won for the best performance during the B.I.G Night *hurrah EPICS 07* (*o*)/

Tagged - 6 Weird Stuff About Yourself

Blog hop, hop and hop - last-last kena tag -_-;

And so... hmmm 6 weird stuff about me eh?
Let's see...

  1. No matter how, I have to be able to be connected to the net. It is more or less like an addiction, thanks for today's technology. If that certain place does not have an internet connection, there's always an internet cafe around but it was ages since I went to one.
  2. I like to do weird poses for my pictures - hanging from a tree, contortionist pose when everyone else is standing straight, lying on the floor when everyone is squatting, and not forgetting the 'V' sign. Well of course that would only be if the person who took the picture is someone I know and of course I'm not that whack enough to be doing it during formal, @_@
  3. I could sleep almost anywhere whether it's sitting down or standing - happens if and when the talk that requires me standing is boring me to tears. Thanks to 5 years in boarding school, thee hee hee.
  4. Despite my limited Japanese vocabulary - listening to Jpop and Jrock songs, watching Jdramas (provided subtitles are give) is a must for me ^_^ omoshiroi ne~~~
  5. I always wake up minutes before the alarm that I set went off. More or less I have my own body alarm that wakes me up. Well, if you see me waking up late even after the alarm went on, that's just because I 'accidentally' sleep again after setting the alarm off ^_^; but then again that's not quite weird lah kan?
  6. I have to have at least a e-book in my pc/laptop that I haven't read yet. If I don't, I will feel weird.
Uwahhhh such an ordeal to come up with all those stuff. Either I'm not weird enough or I'm just too weird to realize that I am weird, hahahaha. Hmmmmm 6 ppl to tag - I don't know whether they will do it or not lah, risk it:-
  1. Birthday boy (or is it man?) my bro, Bangbil - Considerla task birthday nanti siap nanti diah blanja kek secret recipe se'slice', hahaha
  2. Sue Mail - memandangkan she haven't updated her blog
  3. Newly wedded Intan
  4. Areng - sebab belom update blog, har har har
  5. Nizar - sama sebab dgn Areng
  6. Newly wedded Elly

Finale Hana Yori - SUGOI!!!!!!!

My favourite snapshot from the last episode - Makino & Dom in the blizzard

HYD 2 finale was superb.
Armed with tissue paper and intense concentration, I can't help but ooohing and aahing over the last episode. With the strong urge to strangle Umi the traitor, to smack Dom's head until he remembers Makino and being swayed by Utada Hikaru's Flavor Of Life when Dom finally remembers, chou amai!!!! (I doubt that that's the correct term for sweet -_-;)
Getting so worked p over a drama - I don't know if I could survive if they make Hana Yori Dango 3 x_x

300 Askar Berani Mati

I know I have to choke up my laughter everytime any movie starts in the cinema.

Why?

Because they keep on translating the movie title to something that made my laughing nerve twitch. Why can't they just leave the title of 300 to just 300? Instead they add 300 Askar Berani Mati. Okay let's get to the movie.

Based loosely on the war that happened on the plains of Thermopylae, when King Leonidas of Sparta defended the only road for the Persians to use when they wanted to invade Greece. Most would say that 300 have a hint of Sin City in it. Of course, it was based on the comic by Frank Miller - who's responsible for Sin City.

The movie starts with the narration from Dilios about Sparta tradition of warriors and about King Leonidas. The story went on on how the war began when messenger from Persia came with the message 'Earth and Water' - meaning cooperation or conquer. For one, King Leonidas have a big problem in kneeling (*cough) and so despite the Oracle's prediction not to go to war during one of their sacred festivals, Leonidas went away as he said, 'for a walk' with 300 of his finest warriors who have sons to carry their lines.

Imagine 300 against 1,000,000.

Interesting isn't it?

The battle scene was great, good coordination among the warriors and of course some of them even have the gall to laugh when they were showered with arrows from the Persians. That would be Stelios and Astinos, young Sparta Warriors who bonded during the war. I definitely would want to watch it again. Historical battle movie is my cup of tea ^_^

One comment.

Happy Holiday!!!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

School holiday starts today - since class finished at 1.15pm. Of course, it is the much awaited holiday - 10 days of off day and no classes. It only ends there. The so called holiday is filled with assignments that are due after school opens which is on 18th March. I've listed it down and found out there are about 11 assignments to prepare. Uwahhhhhhh majide? >_<;

Nevertheless, I would still be able to dl all the previous episodes of Mago-Mago Arashi and Arashi No Shukudaikun ^_^.

Happy holiday!!!

Obituary To A friend

Woke up to the message from one of my friends Rob a.k.a Jellycrush that one of our AE friends had passed away.

PJ,
All the time I've known you - since 2003, you were lively, always teasing and sometimes could be such a pervert. Although we have a huge age gap, it felt like age is just a number that people fuss about. Knowing you were gone, it is almost unbelievable when I had just seen you chatting away in AE 2 weeks ago. We've lost you to diabetes, you went away in your sleep. Goodbye my friend.

Lesson of 5 Balls

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Sorry but this post is a recycled one from my early posts in 2004. Some of you may have read it before, and some may haven't. Then again the lesson is a good reminder n my life - still is even if I am juggling hard in some part.

I read a James Patterson's book titled Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas and I've come across the lesson of 5 balls. It is more or less like this:-

Imagine that you are a juggler juggling 5 balls that represents things that matters most in life ~ family, friends, health, integrity and work. You try hard to balance all 5 balls but then you finally understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back but family, friends, health and integrity is made of glass. If you drop one of it, it might be nicked, scarred and sometimes even shattered. Once you know the meaning of this lesson, you might see life in a different perspective.

Since I read that line from the book, I was thinking that James Patterson is right. It's the people that you care for most matters and not the career or material possession that you have. You can always get a new job even its hard to do so but if you lost a person that you love most or with your close friends in a fight and get them back after sometime, it won't be as it was before. There would always be a scar in the relationship. Loved ones will be skittish and friends would always have the feeling of mistrust when you dropped them from your juggling.

Friends.
I'm not such a good updater, I know that I tend to lose touch with my old friends. Making new friends, reacquainting with old friends that I consider my life-long friends that I could trust my life to them. Sometimes I feel that I want to round my friends up in a huge gathering. My friends from primary school, secondary, matric, university and work. Being an adult, it sure makes you think about responsibilities.

Let's not forget about health.
Of course we have lots of issues in this part. Irregular food intake with unbalance diet eg: too much protein, too much carbohydrate, too much sugar and all that - thanks to Dr. Phil and Co. prescriptions for weight conscious people. As humans, it is rare to find a human that is really really satisfied in how they looked like. The thin would want to be fuller and even some bizarre occurrence, be thinner and skeleton-like. The full figured would want to be thinner and of course even some bizarre notion, be fuller. Why can't someone just be satisfied as long as they are healthy and fit? This is the era for desk-jockeys who rarely move their rear from their seat and then come the prescription of pills which some actually had claimed some lives. Some took the easiest way when actually there is no shortcut in being healthy. Exercise moderately is the keyword as well as balanced diet.

Family.
Parents, siblings, spouse, child. We tend to be so busy that we forget about them. Simple phone calls, visits could bridge the gap. We can't predict the life-span of each human. Some have longer life-span and some might no even have the opportunity to see tomorrow. Cherish your family as you are not able to replace them in any way once they are gone.

Integrity.
Everyone have integrities, people's perception upon them. Can you trust a policeman who takes bribe to take care of your safety? Can you trust a doctor who does not know which ends of a scalpel to use to operate on you? Can you trust a teacher who acts inappropriately to teach you child daily? Integrity is valuable and once you lost this you may not even able to raise your face up proud.

I'm trying to live by the lesson of 5 balls and even if sometimes it is hard to make everyone happy at the same time but I try to. You never know how much time you have left to keep on juggling.

Clean Off Time

Seems that it has been ages since I upload the images from my phone to my laptop. It's funny to see that I actually have lots of memorable pictures in it, hehe.

So... what do we have here...

Phantasm

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

In silence,
You haunt my soul,
Tearing my inner-self.

In darkness,
You haunt my dreams,
Pillaging my thoughts,
Invading my domain.

In happiness,
You haunt my laughter,
Stealing my smiles.

In loneliness,
You haunt my mind,
Yearning for more.

TESL Night '07

After many weeks of preparation, finally the night had come for TESL Night 2007 at New Pacific Hotel Kota Bharu held by my class. One thing for sure I have to say that it was very eventful - first by the smoking world war 1 bus that transported us to the hotel and some minor technical errors. Aside from that, it was great. Here some pictures that we took last night. Reached the institute near to 2 am and I slept like a log afterwards - other than the creepy nightmare that woke me up just in time for Subuh prayers *shivers*

The Song For Bento

I know that I just got here on Tuesday.
I know I just ate the kodomo bento at Sushi King
With Azah and Dee at Midvalley on a Saturday afternoon...

But still....
My throat could still taste the ebi tempura...
I could still taste the sakana....
I could still taste the shredded vege...
I could still taste the kani mayo sushi...
Passing through my taste bud to my throat..
Going through my aesophagus...

Ahh...
The joy of kodomo bento...

I couldn't find the pics for the Sushi King's kodomo bento, so I took from here

Gong Xi Gong Xi

I never thought that I would be able to do a LOT in just few days. Of course it does not have anything to do with assignments. My activities just happen to consist of hanging out with friends and my siblings.

I reached Serdang on a Friday morning - met Linda, Lina and Kak Zie for a lunch at KLCC. After lunch, my goodheart brought me to Low Yat Plaza to get my brother his much dream about graphic tablet. The money was his of course, hehe. It was A4 sized and I had to lug it around here and there at the Monorel to the LRT station at KL Central. Of course I blacked out right after prayers til morning that I unconciously ignored phonecalls from my mak and my friends.

Saturday, watched Attack No. 1, went to Midvalley Megamall for lunch and movie with Dee and Azah. We watched Babel. It was a good movie though before watching it, I have no idea what the movie was about. Then we ran back home for the much anticipated Music Station Superlive 2006 on Animax. I reached home just in time for Arashi to perform Kitto Daijoubu. Arashi saikou!!!!!! I had to alternately watch it with Kung-Fu Hustle since my sister and bro are watching the TV too. Good timing though that I actually managed to catch other performance sthat I wanted to see - YamaP's Daite Senorita, Tokio's Sorafune... KATTUN's Real Face (lari!!!!), Yui's Goodbye Days. I don't know if Remioromen performed in MS or not but I sure would love to watch them peforming Konayuki again. I know I missed Ayumi Hamasaki huhuhuhu. It is totally different from watching them through the downloaded files and through broadcast TV. Suge ureshii!! XD

Today - Sunday. Went to Padang for a gastronomical event that consists of vegetables, cuttlefish and soup. Then went to Mines to watch Ghost Rider. Nicholas Cage rocks!!!! I just had to control myself from shouting 'Kakkoi!!!' in the cinema when he changed to the Ghost Rider and I have to say that my favourite scene was when the Ghost Rider of the past was accompanying GR of the present to San Veganza. Totally blazing XD.

Gotta wash my clothes and get ready for tomorrow. I'll get back to Besut in the afternoon. As for tonight, my bro is going to treat me to Kenny Rogers - upah for buying the tablet for him. and arashi.vox has finished uploading HYD2 ep 7 yatta!!!!!

Happy Chinese New Year everyone!!
Enjoy your holiday ^_^
I know I do.

Yes!!!
Love So Sweet from the 16th February Music Station is up on youtube

Hmm... I know the date reminds me of something

Valentine

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Behold, this topic might be sensitive to some.

Valentine's Day.

A day marked for lovers, rememberance of the other significant other. In short, its the day for lovers all to celebrate with. I know some of us were being taught that it's not approppriate for Muslim to celebrate it as from what I heard and from wht i received from the forwarded e-mails ages ago - to quote "The day Saint Valentine conquered the mosque in Cordova, Spain". I know some of us believe that. As for me, I found that there is no need for me to even care about it since it's not a must to celebrate it but it's basically everywhere. It's hard to ignore those special discounts on chocolates and special promotions for flowers. Though I have to admit that it kind of perked up my curiosity on the origin of the celebrated date.

What is wrong about celebrating our loved one?

What is wrong in celebrating Valentine's Day?

My father happens to be a loyal subscriber to the monthly magazine 'Al-Islam' and an article written about Valentine's Day caught my interest. I was glad that the columnist shared my point of view and he even did a research about the famous Saint Valentine who was said to taint the mosque in Cordova and 14th February was the date of his victory. Through his research in Al-Islam, he wrote that Saint Valentine was one of the pious knights during his time. And now the good part. Is that true?

From the magazine, the Valentine event occurred in 280 A.D, nearly 3 hundred years before our Prophet Muhammad S.A.W was born. Could anyone explain to me how could anyone conquer a mosque in Cordova, Spain in 280 before Islam even set foot there? Islam reached Spain in 711 and the mosque in Spain was built in 755. So is it possible for a dead man to conquer Spain?

I have my hefty dose of doubt too and I went to do my own research. He was right, the Valentine event was before the birth of Nabi Muhammad and at that time, it was common for anyone who was pious to be called 'Saint'. In history, it was said that Valentine was a martyr who was killed by Emperor Claudius II of the Roman Empire because of his stand with his faith in one god, as he was one of the followers of Nabi Isa. That was during the Roman's religion in polytheism which is the faith in believing more than one god such as Jupiter, Mars, Neptune etc. Before his death, he was asked to prove the existence of his God which he did by asking god's help to heal the daughter of his jailer's sight and hearing. He managed to heal her with Allah's help but his head was chopped off nevertheless. The story was told over and over but then it was not said in the original text of his famous letter before his death to the jailer's daughter whom he healed which ended with "With love, your Valentine."

If you guys want to backread the issue of Al-Islam, I forgot which issue was it but I know it was the January or February issue for the year... 2004 or 2005. And, by all means, you could even check the year when Valentine died. If you want it the easy way, you could just surf for the information.

Not that I want anyone to go on celebrating Valentine's day because of Valentine himself, but just take the day as a symbol for lovers cherished. Remembering the day that symbolize love, is fine but idolizing him to the extreme is not okay. We might as well commemorate the sacrifice of Sumayyah and her family and Mashitah, the pharaoh's daughter's hair-comber (I don't know if the term is right or not) and all the warriors who were tortured and died because of their faith in Allah, right? So, we celebrate love. It's a good reason anyway. People might forget their anniversaries (I know wives and girlfriends might guillotine their husbands or boyfriends for forgetting the date) but nearly everyone knows 14th February.

Hence, this is just my thoughts on Valentine's Day. Depend whether you want to believe what I believe or not. If you want to celebrate it, go on, if you don't want to, nevermind since its not a compulsory celebration an. To those who celebrates it with their loved ones - celebrate pun celebrate jugak, tapi ada batas jugak.

I would like to borrow the line from my room-mate Za @ Aie - "Anyday boleh jadi Valentine kalau kita nak. Valentine's Day is just a date."

Happy Birthday Kak Ngah ^_^/

Yesterday was my lecturer's daughter's b-day. My brain is kind of clogged from having limited acces to the internet so weirdly enough my blogging head is basically "idea-less". Though anyway here are some pictures from the celebration party. Meet my new classmates and of course the birthday girl.
