A View From The Backhoe

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Carpenters hammering,
Painters painting,
Plasterers plastering
Landscaper landscaping,
Interlocking pavers paving.

Birds chirping,
People humming, singing - and cat-calling
The constant sound of the lorry coming in and out,
Steam-rollers, excavators, concrete mixers, wheel-barrows
Flat tyred backhoe, wheelbarrows - bicycles,
Constant phone ringing,
Shouting voices.

Hardworkers....
Contractors, site engineers, architects, clerk-of-works, labours,
The OWNER...
And the view of some errant workers skiving.

Scorching sun, cloudy sky,
Another working day.

Arashi Filled Sunday!!!

ラキラキベイブ 仕事はラストのオーマイグルーヴ
Raki raki beibu shigoto wa rasuto no oomai guruuvu
Lucky lucky babe, my job is the last of my groove
なかなかベイブ 今日は楽しい!(朝まで!)
Naka naka beibu kyou wa tanoshii! (asa made!)
Today, today will be pretty fun, babe! (Until dawn!)

After few months pm-ing and few weeks sms spamming back and forth, finally, Dalinee, Lara-chan & Syila ne-chan managed to meet up face to face. If it was not because the day after was Monday, we might actually ended up having fun until dawn (**does mimic of Sho's "Asa made!!"). Honestly at first, I had my doubt. Of course it was like a first date but not quite since there were three of us. Will it be fun? What other things that we could do? How's my dress? Hope there's enough parking space XD.

My boss and I swapped car for the weekend since I had to manage the site on Saturday and have to transport machinery back and forth. If it happened to be a Mitsubishi Storm, I would actually drive it for our small get-together. Then I could actually dub it as the Arashi-mobil XD. Dream on, it's not a Mitsubishi and I know I would have LOADS of trouble just looking for a parking space with that one.

Picked up Dalinee at her place - we were like "USO!!!" when we first found out that she lives very near to my workplace. My doubt were thrown out the window as we clicked on spot. Sounds freaky but as the driver, I myself was stunned that we've reached our destination. Syila ne-chan had a check up at the clinic so we walked around for potential lunch spot. Went into Harris (How could I ever resist that spot?) looking over the Jdrama section and the Japanese CD. As always, there were tons of Lead, W-inds, Ayumi Hamasaki, Tackey & Tsubasa (Why is there no Arashi??!!!). I didn't know that we were actually hogging few spots in the store for such a long time until I realized my feet were kind of stiff. Went for my favourite green tea ice-cream at the Legend of Tea and Kak Syila came!!!!! Hungry gila and headed straight to Yoshinoya.

There we chatted (I realized one of the waiters name tag was "STORM" XD) Time does fly by when you enjoy it too much. Went back to Harris, Dalinee found "Propose" with subs (aaahhh jelesnyeee, hahaha) and we bought the C1000 drink - the vitamin drink that was advertised by Arashi. Jusco was having a Japan junk-food booth. If the O'zack potato chips were there, I guess I might have bought it too. Petit cookies were there- they both pointed out that our boys have advertised that too but we did not buy it. So anyway in the end, at the parking lot - passerby would actually paused looking at 3 girls acting like baka trying to take pics by themselves. It was of course unsuccessful.

A session of A No Arashi (Aの嵐!!!) - No Aiba of course, hahaha

Attempt No. 3: Syila ne-chan asked a nice lady to take a picture for us (Finally!! LOL)

Result: Perfect - Ichi-ban!!!~~~

Bon Odori is in July in Shah Alam. Don't know if I am able to go there for the Japanese fest since Arashi would be releasing their Arashic on the 5th - and I know I'm gonna go to Sg for that particular reason. *thinks hard.

OMG!!!

Just got back from an Arashi filled Sunday (full report tomorrow... *looking at the clock - I mean later today) - knowing that my Music Station would be ready when I get home. And so, as always checking on the performance that I want to see most. In this case, It's YamaP latest song "Daite Senorita" the soundtrack for his drama, Kurosagi. It wasn't until after the bridge part when I was totally stunned.

He actually managed to strike his microphone stand off amidst the performance, chasing after it when it falls - well actually chasing for the mic because the singing part had come. The camera crew was kind of in a panic because suddenly the camera view changed to, like some kind of a store-room. Poor YamaP, 恥ずかしい.

Cross Country

It was Saturday, half day work for me. The night before as I was browsing through the Arashi thread at Jdorama found out that they actually have the Kitto Daijoubu single at HMV. What did I do? Well, what I would do when my 'gila' instinct comes - go over to Singapore, what else? The big blow came in the morning in the form of my boss, informing me that we have to attend at meeting at the site since the consultant called us at the very last minute for it. We were grumbling and complaining because my boss already planned to go 'balik kampung' and I already planned (although it's spontaneous) to go to HMV.

Meeting ended at about 2.30pm and I did a mad dash driving to Larkin from Kulai, since I don't know the roads in Sg, other than the fact that it's better to take public transport to Orchard than anything else. The crowd was fine at Tambak and Woodlands, chatted with a very nice lady by the name of Mak Wan throughout the journey. Orchard, as always was filled with people and then I started my long stride since Heeren is kind of far from the MRT station. As I reached there I felt like crying. The Kitto Daijoubu shelf was EMPTY!!! Went over to the counter and checked with the sales clerk and found out that there were too many asking for KD and I actually missed the last copy by few minutes (如何して?... sob sob sob...如何して??!!疲れた!!!! *bows down and cries) Well, to appease my troubled heart (and mind) I bought Arashi's One, went to Borders and took the train back to JB.

**Note to self: It's okay to go to Sg on Saturday but not going back at the same day, unless its a Sunday. Traffic was mad both ways in the evening as well as the queue at Woodlands checkpoint. Took the train back at 5.30, changed bus but reached JB at about 9 tsk tsk tsk.

And So...

I did not manage to get my tooth out today because I didn't know that Thursday is appointment day. That means I still have 3/4 or my wisdom intact, hehe.

It also seemed like the dental clinic was almost deserted with most staff going on meetings, off day and MC. I brought my mak over with me, knowing that she would love to meet up with her old friends while I am supposedly to be occupied with the teeth thingy. Plans had changed. The polyclinic was near to empty so we both went to the main clinic at the Hospital area. There of course, we get to meet up her old friends and I admit we did cause some commotion for the few 5 minutes. Everyone was talking at the top of their lungs seeing my mak and at first they did not recognise me. Me, the same kid who climbed up and down the table at my mak's office everytime I came back from kindergarten. I thought they knew until after nearly 30 minutes of moving in and out they were like, "Lah, Diah ke ni?!" and the commotion started again.

Afterwards, we went over to Pasar Tani buying groceries, vegetables, some this and that for the kitchen. Been ages since I accompanied my mak to the market because most of the time she or my abah went to do the shopping over the weekdays when I was at work. There at the market, again, we stopped so many time because we bumped into my mak's friends who worked at the Land Office very near to the place. It was a good thing because my mak is a retiree so meeting up with old friends would of course would consume up some time. Just like everytime I get to meet up with my old friends *grins.

After the market, went over to Avon shop for my supply of beauty stuff which only consist of perfume and the 'Kedai Apek Kaki Ayam' for ingredients to bake cakes at the opposite of it. Apparently my mom's cousin asked her help to bake some fruitcake for her daughter's, my second cousin's wedding at the end of the month. More than a week to go but my mak wants to get it all ready before the occasion. Then we went over to Courts Mammoth and afterwards to the wet market behind the area, looking for ikan tenggiri because my mak want to make some 'botok-botok' (steamed fish cooked with spices and lots of vegetables) for the wedding too.

By the time we finished up the chores, it was afternoon. Feeling a bit tired but happy since I haven't done shopping like this with my mak for months. Then I went to bed for a nap, hahaha.

Happy Belated Mother's Day, Mak.

Penat...

Finally, time to breathe in and out properly. Only for a short time I know. Submitted the 1 week job to the client and I am in desperate need of my pillow. Honestly sleeping 2 hours daily like I was in final year is making my head hurt. Whoaaa been only 2 years and I couldn't cope with the time anymore? Taking tomorrow off because.....

ARASHI HIT NUMBER 1 AT ORICON CHART DAILY!!!!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

There, Arashi, Kitto Daijoubu - ichi-ban!!!! And I know the Limited Edition single over the net has already been sold out. Kyaaa... I waited too long whether to buy it or not and by the time I've decided, all the sites said it's already out of print. Procrastinator *sighs.

Kidding.

I'm taking the day off because I plan to get one of my wisdom teeth out. Already taken one out few years ago because it went out horizontally instead of vertical. Now, the one above the empty spot went down down down and causing me problem everytime I eat. So... if wisdom teeth shows wisdom for people... if I lost 2, does that mean I only have half wisdom left? hehehe.

How about those who have to pull all of it out? No wisdom left?

Hahahahaha, people who have worn braces, don't kill me >_< *runs.

*Edit: Uwaaaa... spent the whole night editing the blog template. Don't know what's wrong but everytime I tried to move the chatterbox at the upperside, nothing could be posted afterwards. Troublesome!!!! Near to 1. Tidur lagi best, huhuhu. Oyasuminasai!!!!

Sunday, May 14, 2006

Another working Sunday due to the project rush. But then again, they haven't set the CFO date and I just found out that they actually planned to close the road off at the end of May, not on 15th like they said a week ago, kyaaaaa.

We worked on Friday while most were off. From my observation at the construction site, the existence of the holiday was barely there since the place is still abuzz with the sound of excavators, cranes, backhoes, numerous of 'lori hantu' and the rythmic sound of hammering.

Lunch time....

*Phone rings, pick up
Ms L: Diah, you're going back to the office right?
Me: Yes.
Ms L: Okay, I want you to bring Aidah over at the site and show her around. Introduce her to BRC, aggregate, crusher run and all that, okay?
Me: Okay, Ms L. The whole day?
Ms L: Yes whole day. Let her pegang the 'cangkul' once in a while *laughs, phone disconnected.
Me: Yatta!!!

Through out my ascend to the top floor, I was relieved to see that she was wearing her flat sandal, but as I went into the office, she was wearing baju kurung. Ah, tak kisah, angkut.

Meet my office-mate/admin exec, Aidah. We have the same interest and that is ARASHI!!! Since she took Japanese class in university, we both are learning by mixing Japanese words in our daily conversation. She knows how to speak, I know how to spell... most of it anyway though my kanji is definitely out *sweat. We were both Jun baits, from watching Gokusen and Hana Yori Dango but now we have switched our attention to the rest of Arashi members. She to Ohno/Leader (katakanised to be Rida) and myself to Sho (I still love Jun XXDDD). We swapped CDs if any of us managed to finish downloading the latest episode of G No Arashi (a variety show starring them), Mago-Mago Arashi (2 of the members being grandchildren to a couple of elders for a day, helping with their daily chores and work. Mago means grandchildren) or any performance on TV. Not forgetting for any good dramas that both of us bought.

Enough intro, I know I would end up yapping about Arashi if I don't refrain myself. At the site, as always there were cat-calls and whistles that greeted us. A normal occurence because 99% of them are males. Shown her all the things that she ordered for us since she started work - BRC, aggregate, crusher run, different types of trees, turf, everything. The workers seems to be putting their effort to 110% with Aidah around, which Mr and Ms L said that they will surely be dead tired after work ends. Ms L suggested for me to wear baju kurung at the site for once. Kyaaaa... NEVER!!! Well, not never but if it's for work, that is highly unsuitable. I won't have the pocket to carry my cutter, pen-knife supply and I can't even hook my measuring tape. Troublesome.

At my current design implementation site very near to my office :D

It's 9pm now. Bedtime (I wake up at 4). お休みなさい皆!!!

You'll Surely be Okay Part 2

Okay? I worked on Vesak Day, I worked full-time Saturday, someone banged into my car yesterday ending me up with a long scratch on my back door and I got to work today, Sunday. Is it okay? The okay part is when I got home finding out KITTO DAIJOUBU's PV is finally out, YEAY!!! The PV is so infectious that it lightens up my gloomy day. They look so genki, making me genki too. Go! Go! Arashi!!!! daisuki!!!!! Nino's back home!!!!

off COURSE

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Been weeks since my last post, I know. I have been busy and of course there was the laziness factor that assaulted me during the hectic period. It had been a rather interesting weekend for me. As of today, I have added yet another certificate in my folder. The Pre-Marital Course certificate, hehe.

Don't get me wrong. By attending the course, it does not mean that I have a wedding plan this very near future. I don't even have a prospective groom - yet. Truth was I accompanied one of my friends to the session. The participants mostly came with their future-to-be-other-half, some came alone since their prospective spouse lived in different state. Since my friend was alone, she predicted that she would be bored to death just in case the lectures would be boring and I happened to have an extra day off, I agreed to sign in for the course. There is no expiry date for the certificate unless you've gone through a divorce (not included for widows/widowers, and polygamist) so I thought, what the heck? Just take it.

The registration started Saturday, 6th May at 1.00pm. As we were about to sign for the attendance, it hit both of us that the majority of the girls were born in '84 based on their Identity Card number. We were one of the few 'eldest' people in the girl's crowd. Things got a little bit uncomfortable for me when the girls were asking about my supposedly 'other half'. After a few while some of them were showing off their invitation cards *sweat. There were also a rather elder man among the participants - whose phone kept on ringing consistantly and spoke at the top of his lungs in the middle of the class, one guy who kept on cracking jokes while the lecturers were speaking, a girl who 'melatah lucah' 24/7, another girl who kept on texting someone on her phone (and her phone keypad sound was annoying me to the max) and kept on kicking my friend's seat. In short the attendees were interesting. I realized at the end of the course during the certificate giving session, there was an x-schoolmate of mine was also there though I doubt he remembers me since we were in different class... or was he? (x-STMI1 - ingat tak Helmi Selamat?)

The course was very informative. There were 11 modules/classes which covered nearly all the aspects of a marriage - the preparation and what might come in the future, how to settle the conflicts, economic part of a family, clear cut of the wife's and the husband's responsibilities and the procedures of a marriage if the spouse lives in the same district, different states and even different countries.

The classes yesterday was interesting, as for today it was a bit drag. Maybe it's just because that I have to sit from 8am to 6.30pm non-stop and it drained out all of my energy. Rumours - maybe starting from next month they are going to add more modules to the course ^_^ I'm done with it, woohoo!!!

松潤と櫻井翔、大好き!!!
