Rant!!!

Too many speculations as to why the hostel wireless is non-existent. Here, I listed some below some of the speculations and reasons that I heard so far:-
  1. The wireless modem was struck by lightning last week during a storm - But weirdly enough I was online the whole stormy and thundery moment and the connection was super fast, even after the rain had stopped.
  2. The juniors foolishly hung their clothes at the modem line and damage the whole thing during the orientation week when they had to sleep at the TV room - If it's just for 1 block it's quite acceptable but for the whole 3 blocks? Come on lah, don't start pulling my legs laaa.
  3. The administration pulled the whole thing out and never to put t back again - But then again on Wednesday someone came and spent the whole afternoon at the pantry room and tried to do something with a laptop. If they want to unplug the whole thing, it won't even take 30 minutes to unplug it all.
Either way, we don't have internet connection at the hostel. I am here at the library - by force, just to find some pictures for my lesson >_<

As for today, at school....
I was so darn mad that I wish I had my own wand and avra kedavra-ing someone grahhhhh!!
Which is one of the reasons I can't have a wand and be a witch >_<

Horcruxes and Hallows

2 years of wait.

Hundred miles of journey.

I finally completed my collection ^_^

Despite the refusal of 4 major bookstores to sell the books to walk-in customers, there's still Carrefour and Tesco. Of course lah I was one of the buyers in Carrefour since I did not know which part of the country I would be on July 21st - whether in Serdang or in Besut. Besides, the price was rm40 worth of difference. I was already gone bonkers with all the promotions when I went to Megamall on the 20th with my sister to send off a cousin there. I was about to reserve a copy at MPH but then again, I was wondering if I have the energy to rush on the commuter train from UKM early in the morning to queue up for the book. Then my lifesaver - I heard the commercial on the radio that Carrefour will be selling it too. Went to Carrefour Alamanda to make a reservation that very afternoon and off I went home with a relieved heart. Night time, went out for dinner with my sayang, all was well.

Morning came, I shook my sister up from her slumber (chewah) and rushed to Alamanda. I was one of the first 100. The special gift was not much but I really like the poster that I got for pre-ordering the book. Then I was lost in my own world. My sister might as well talk to a brick wall since I did not hear anything that she said - except for sending her back to the Gemilang Hall and fetch her at 3 for our hi-tea at Palm Garden.

The book was marvelous. The theory that my brother and I made about someone was right on target. I kept on sms-ing Edda, another avid reader/ex-classmate of mine each time one of the main characters were killed. So many died and I could not help but cry when one of them went down. One will lose an ear. The hunt for horcruxes were very challenging and the search for the Deathly Hallows adds up the complicated journey. Harry will become someone else's godfather and the final battle on Hogwarts ground was a masterpiece. Who would have thought that the motherly Molly Weasley could duel heads on with Sirius' killer? She even gave the bloody witch a very hard time at it. The final duel - Harry against Voldemort... you just have to read it yourself.

The ending was lovely. I really love it. 10 stars for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows!!!

I'm just wondering which part of the book will they hack the when it comes for this book to be made a movie. So far my friends were highly disappointed watching Order of Phoenix - so I'm not going to watch it either. The Half-blood Prince.... pass it too maybe.

Filling a balloon full of my small dreams ^_^

Its the weekend.
Feels like it's been months since my last weekend.
Of courselah, I would be exaggerating if I said that.

Last week we only had a day weekend - since Besut needs to exchange for schooldays during the upcoming Eid in October. Oh well, tomorrow's the last of the 'ganti' then I'm off to spend my 2 days weekend.

So far the practical session drags. Have to write the 4 to 5 pages of lesson plan by hand, prepares the worksheet and teaching aids for the day after since our supervisor might pop in any day soon. The KH girls at my school already received their surprise when their supervisor came to the school without any warning - it was a sobering and jolting experience.

Just to keep my head clear, watched Tohoshinki's Balloon video clip. As one of my friends said, this is the only group she know to have too many AKAs and abbreviations. Dongbashinki, DBSK, DBSG, Tohoshinki, TVXQ - many names, same group.

The song makes me want to go back to my childhood. Well actually back to my secondary school time. We were as 'terencat' as that back then. I still remember 'the puppet show' we did from the girl's hostel corridor for the boys in 'AT' were making their way to the hall for their communication arabic paper. The lyric and translation can be found here.

Short term goal - find a way to drill the word 'communication' and the spelling for telephone, television, radio and computer into the mind of my pupils. Anyway, this is not meant as a laughable case.

First Day at School

For one I did not get to act like Yankumi by:-

Giving one heck of a 'poyo' speech during an introduction in a school assembly
Being threatened bodily by a student
Landed herself to a class that no one wants
Kick and punch a group of thugs who stole money from her student until they were unconscious
So anyway, my first day for the internship was okay. Have to get used to being alone in the room, and being the only one - a tonyok does not count - at the floor wing, I found myself keep waking up every single hour just because it's too quiet around. Za and Linda moved out to Wakaf Tengah, Za's grandparents' house. Sure miss both of them, huhuhu.
