It's gonna be a long weekend!!!

First and foremost, I wish for the best for my niece (my cousin's daughter), Kisha's heart operation that was done today. We need new generation who can become Aunty Dayah's back-up in the future, hehehe. She's a joyful and mighty flexible, 1 year old who I love to see rubbing her face with her stockinged feet. Pray for her, everyone.

Other than that, I've just finished my course at Naza Hotel on the buddy support. The hotel is good and one thing that I'm sure my dearest hubby heard already - I totally love the big shower head!!! Hehehe. I got a room facing The Zone and Selat Tebrau and well of course, I had to share it with my GPK. Sighs, I dunno why but since Kak Rubi handed the reign of KP to me this year, there's so many courses to attend and I have to go places. Well that's the job's 'perks' I guess.

It's gonna be a long weekend. Hubby's gotta work, and few more days to go before we get to meet again. Nothing much planned out for the weekend since I'm pretty much saving for the holiday. Where am I going? Well gotta wait and see, hehe. But still, I managed to get new ebooks online. No harm in buying books :D

Well I'm ranting and writing without any clear reason other than just for the sake of writing something. Anyway, I start to follow this season's of American Idol. My personal favourite - Allison, Danny and......... *drumroll* Anoop!!!! Thank goodness there's a final 13 or I would bawl seeing Anoop not getting a seat in final 12.

I'm drowsy and I'm writing nothing. Goodnight everyone and have a very good weekend.

Ho hum

I've left my blog for like... months? If it's a closet, I'm very sure that it is piled up with cobwebs, hehe. So actually nothing new with yours truly. School a.k.a work is fine, my hubby's fine ^_^ I'm fine, only that my nose is not.

I've been going back and forth to the Ontoro... Ontorinolaringology (dunno if I spelled that right since scientific terms boggles my head) short for ear, nose and throat department at HSA as I said in my previous post. Guess what? from being diagnosed with 'Acute Left Maxillary Sinusitis', I've been upgraded to 'Chronic Left Maxillary Sinusitis' (snickers) because there was no change at all from my first check. My last check, I became the living sample for medical students who were 'lucky' to see a case of good right nostril and bad left nostril. That was where the feeling of seeing a medical drama featuring interns real-life (sounds familliar?) only that there were no doctors to represent McDreamy and McSteamy, hahaha.

So I'm scheduled for a CT scan and medical review in April - yeah, that long since I went to the government hospital instead of a private one. Looking at the X-ray application form does freak me out. Tell me what "Plan for OP Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery", and having the head department become your doctor since the second visit, makes you feel? Having a flu now even make things worse and the scope checks... easy to say that I've never not cry everytime they inserted the scope in my nose to check the sinus.

It's rainy season now. Pupils did not miss their chance to play slide along the school corridor because of the rain puddle despite the warning from teachers. Nor did they managed to go to school with their shoes, only their flip flops because of the wet weather. Reminded me of a huge boy in year one who reminded us of a tortoise. He likes to play with his friends only that when he fell on his back - which is a lot - he never managed so far to get himself upright again without help from friend who are much smaller than him and the teachers. Poor kid.

It's Sunday noon now. Glad that Arashi's Believe PV is finally out. I need a song to get my mojo up, hehe.

La-di-dah

After going through 6 school days, today seemed mundane and way too draggy. Other than the fact that my dearest went back to his house yesterday (boohoo) and my abah away to Muar the house is way too quiet, other than the sound of my cats meowing for mealtime. Read my favourite parts in Acheron and all of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight saga and preparing test paper for the upcoming test. Not forgetting that I was watching Johnny's countdown 2009 on youtube. Arashi was hosting - they're now 10!!! I'm so loving the medley

Yazer, a friend of mine from the teacher training college dropped by to invite my family and I to his wedding reception this 26th January. The reception at his wife's house clashed with my reception at hubby's place so we couldn't show up. Good news, his wife, Ina who was also my next door neighbour in college is 4 months pregnant. Congratulations!!!

Oh yeah, as of 14th of January, I'm an aunt!! Not that I'm not already an aunt - thanks to my cousins (and yes, even grand-aunt) this time, I'm an aunt because my sister in-law just gave birth to a beautiful daughter.

14th of January, not that hard of a birth date to remember since I could list some people I know & knew who was born on that same date
  1. Yan, my schoolmate since primary school
  2. Odah, my seatmate in secondary school
  3. Miza, my classmate during the degree years
  4. Raziq, my classmate in year 6 who passed away when he was 12 due to Leukemia.
See, not an easy date to forget.

Tomorrow, I have to drive up to see the ENT specialist in Hospital Sultanah Aminah (that's ear, nose and throat) for a follow up appointment for my sinusitis. Sighs. Just last month I had to go through too many x-ray sessions. A chect X-ray for my confirmation medical check up, 2 x-rays for my dental (twice because they did not manage to get the right tooth area the first time) and 3 for my skeletal views since they want to see how bad my sinusitis is. Bad I guess since the x-ray more or less looks like the one you can see in wikipedia. So if you're allergic to dust, be warned. You may not see it now but just watch out as time goes.

Well anyway, good thing is the Chinese New Year holiday is just few days away and I'm off to see my dearest again!!!!

Lightning strikes

Just when I thought that turning off my laptop and router modem without plugging it out of the socket would save it from lightning - I was wrong.

It was raining cats and dogs yesterday morning along with loud thunders and way too bright lightning. The lightning managed to kick the main switch off and it rained til 9 ish. There I was moving around and doing housechores, entertaining relatives that came to check up on our progress for the wedding (4 more days?! Arienaitsuno!). It wasn't until later that I turned on my laptop and the router modem that I saw the weirdness of the situation. My laptop is still functioning but MY KEYBOARD WASN'T!!! The router, you can just say that it does connect, only that it does not receive or sending data. Yabai na kore... I was still calm, turning off my laptop and turning up the school's laptop. Still it couldn't detect my router, so I used my modem instead. It was fine. Out of sheer panic I smsed my sayang (he was working last night) and advised me what to check and all that but the keyboard was still out.

Today, I went to the computer shop to check and their advise - go to the service centre - in MASAI!! So in the end, they recommended me a USB keyboard. Now my laptop looks weird T_T

Weird. Taihen deshou? huhuhuhu

Right now, I'm watching Ryuusei No Kizuna, a new drama starring Nino, Ryo and Toda Erika (the girl who starred in Death Note - the one who had a shinigami with her) about siblings who were bent to get revenge for their murdered parents. Along the way, they swindled money from those who were bad to them. Nino was their aniki (big bro) who masterminded the swindling activities by providing dialogues to his younger siblings which of course made the drama humourous at the same time.

The opening song for the drama, by Arashi of course (since Nino is a part of Arashi), Beautiful Days. A sad song...

So anyway, my nuptial is coming real soon. Do come ^_^

Tick.... Tock..... Tick..... Tock....

Anticipation sucks.

I hate the wait.

I'm talking about my order of 'Acheron'.

It was on sale in the US since August 5th.

Last week on Monday, I was checking the inventory at Kinokuniya's Bookweb for the arrival of the book. Surprise surprise, the book was in stock but was not on the shelf - yet. I just went ahead with my order, drove the merchandising department wild (sorry,to the Kino team, but you guys rocks! hehe) and sadly the book was for someone who special ordered earlier. I was just a heartbeat away from canceling my order when I saw the ebook was up for sale on Mobipocket. How can I not when the reviews were raving mad? I mean dang! 71 out of 109 readers gave 5 stars out of 5 on Amazon and 38 out of 38 gave 5/5 on Barnes & Nobles, Graaaahh!!!! I feel so very Simi-like right now.

Then again, nothing beats holding a first edition hardcover book that you've waited for years to be published - Not that I'm holding on to it now, so I waited since they said the estimated time the book might reach Kino KL is between 18th and 22nd August. That LONG?!! *sighs

Suddenly, on Sunday when I was at my distant aunt's wedding one of the Kino merchandising team members called me and said - THE BOOK WAS HERE!!!! The Kinokuniya KL Store I mean and will be couriered up on Monday, which was YESTERDAY!!!

Now I have to wait for the despatch to send me my 'Acheron'.

And the price soars!!!!!

Ron 97 petrol price was increased up to RM2.70 at midnight. That's 76 cents of increase and still, has Malaysia at the lowest petrol price in S.E.A. Makes me want to guffaw at the last election when some party promised to keep the petrol price at a low, lower than we had yesterday. I mean come on, we all know that the whole world is running low of petrol and with the increasing of the whole wide world's petrol price, there is no way the petrol price is going to stay at a minimum at all time. Talk about logic and common sense. When the demand is higher than the supply, of course the price will jack up. Unless people believe that petrol is one of the renewable energy sources which going to last forever. Wind, water, solar - now that's renewable energy sources. Even my year 5 pupils know that.

When fuel price soars, there is no way the goods price are going to stay at the same price. Heck, even a full tank Kancil with more or less 20l tank capacity is going to cost ><>20l of full tank - won't that make the price increase too?

If only the public transportation at my place is that efficient. Heck, we don't even have a bus that comes and go at my residential area. Short of riding a bicycle daily to work - which usually takes me about 15 minutes car ride, think how long will it take for me to cycle to school, haha. I would end up too sweaty in my baju kurung and would make me get another round of shower at the school's restroom. But then again, when there's a will there's a way - and my will is not strong enough for that - yet.

Drabble drabble

Lunar new year had just passed and for us, school starts today. The road this morning was completely free flowing and since my daily route included 5 other schools, that was really something. For the 5 days holiday, managed to make my way to Serdang. There's the fact that my siblings are there and there's also the fact that my sayang is there so of course, that would be my main destination. My future-sister-in-laws's wedding was during the school sport's day and last weekend was the reception at the groom's place so yeah, it was one of the reasons too. Then the much long due visit to my uncle's house at the village in Sijangkang was also one of the top agenda. So little time so much place to go.

And then the much expected addiction.

I just so know it that once I get my hands playing Phoenix Wright on my brother's DS that I would be hooked. I am and too bad my laptop can't save the game *WARGHH!!!!*

*Sniff sniff*

Back to school and my schedule is getting busier since the schedule was changed according to new teacher's major and minor subject in the institute. And I wonder what possessed me to volunteer for the story writing contest for teacher's entry this morning. It's due next week, aiyoyoooo. And I haven't even checked my pupil for the zone level story telling contest. And then there's the sports meeting this Wednesday, afternoon class, night class *faint*. And I haven't even start the stock for the resource centre...

Whoever said that teaching job is the easiest is definitely a bystander who have no idea at all.

Anyway, I love it and it's worth it ^_^

Nande?! WHY?! Kenapa?!

Okay, I have to admit I am speechless after the announcement of the Asian Idol. But since it was voted by SMS and the double country voting surely made a huge difference, I have to leave it as it is. Talent wise and vocal wise, Mike Mohede of Indonesia, our very own Jac Victor and Philippines' Mau Marcelo are in my top list. So anyway, these are the performance by Mike and Jac though I was quite disappointed with Mau's choice of song since it did not highlight her vocal talent that much, in my opinion.

Brain Freeze

I'm supposed to be studying for my induction exam tomorrow...

Huwarghh...
After nearly 3 weeks of sitting still listening to talks from 8.30 to 4.30 daily, inclusive of 5 days and 4 nights at 'Kem Bina Negara' my brain is more than exhausted. So anyway, since my post is short, stole an artwork from my bro's deviant art for adornment since I managed to stomp on 2 roaches today, hahahaha

Can't wait to get back home!!!!

Bazaar Food Galore

Most common question that I got when my friends and I went food hunting at the Ramadhan Bazaar in Kampung Raja - Eh! Only that?

Well 'that' was either yong tau foo or fried kueyteow.Only. Alternately. Sound like someone is trying to take advantage of the fasting month to lose a few pounds when in honesty, 2 days of hell sobered me up.

It happened on the 5th day of Ramadhan when I was stuck with a serious bout of food poisoning that rendered me speechless since I was puking my guts out. I even puked the plain water that I drank to keep the food down. The toilet became my 'favourite' hang out place for one whole day and I had to lose 2 days of fasting grr.... and that wasn't even added up to the usual red flag days. The first day I was sick I was stubborn and still went to school. Halfway during school time, I caved in and slept at the school sick bay which was proven not such a wise idea since my 'kids' kept popping in and out of the sick bay to visit. If that was not good enough I was hit by high fever by noon. That day I could only eat plain bread and nothing else.

Still went to the doc and he gave me 2 days off which I didn't use since I already told the kids that I would be teaching them how to make a wizard's hat and they were eager, I have to admit I was eager too. The next day, my tummy was still sick but went to school with a very dizzy head. Good thing Serine had some instant porridge and that's the only thing I could eat without throwing up again.

Of course those 2 days kept on haunting me each time I went to the bazaar and look at the dishes for rice since my downfall that day happened to be beef cooked in coconut milk. I kept picturing the leftover food from the day before being recycled for today. And of course all the sudden my tummy would kind of remind me how it would feel to spend the time in the toilet again. Scary. In the end I only buy food that was seen cooked at the venue. Yeah yeah, food poisoning could happen just anytime and anywhere but it doesn't hurt to be cautious.

My practical will end this Thursday. My friends and I at the school are already treated like some kind of celebrity with us being hoarded with pupils who ask for our address and phone number - which I doubt that they would even use. Found myself hanging out with year 6 pupils and showing them Jdramas through my laptop, hehehe.

The end of this week will be bittersweet...

Hiatus

Just ignore the long time update period

For now...
The internet is as slow as a drunken snail that got drunk while moving on some splashed alcohol on the roadside
Loading the internet page takes forever
Which means it would not finish loading even if you leave the laptop on for the whole night - that bad
Which means hundreds of uncheck mails in the mailbox
Thousands of junkmail in the bulk folder
and
Missed tv episodes on d-addicts -_-;

What's worse...
Going on a peekaboo mode on ym even when I miss my ayang so much T_T

Another bad thing
I'm a few millimetres close to blowing the HEP up
FOR THE MUCH DELAYED ALLOWANCE!!!!!!!!!
YOU %^# $%^&&#%*$ ^&*@ !!!!!!!

ps: due to the suckability of the net service at the institute, the blogwriter will not be able to update anytime soon. As for this post, she managed to travel few hundreds KM to her friend's grandparents house in K.T.

Rant!!!

Too many speculations as to why the hostel wireless is non-existent. Here, I listed some below some of the speculations and reasons that I heard so far:-
  1. The wireless modem was struck by lightning last week during a storm - But weirdly enough I was online the whole stormy and thundery moment and the connection was super fast, even after the rain had stopped.
  2. The juniors foolishly hung their clothes at the modem line and damage the whole thing during the orientation week when they had to sleep at the TV room - If it's just for 1 block it's quite acceptable but for the whole 3 blocks? Come on lah, don't start pulling my legs laaa.
  3. The administration pulled the whole thing out and never to put t back again - But then again on Wednesday someone came and spent the whole afternoon at the pantry room and tried to do something with a laptop. If they want to unplug the whole thing, it won't even take 30 minutes to unplug it all.
Either way, we don't have internet connection at the hostel. I am here at the library - by force, just to find some pictures for my lesson >_<

As for today, at school....
I was so darn mad that I wish I had my own wand and avra kedavra-ing someone grahhhhh!!
Which is one of the reasons I can't have a wand and be a witch >_<

Sighs...

Today is the registration for the KPLI July intake and I got myself a new room-mate. Time to get acquainted, huhuhu.

Rant

I have to go on a bus tomorrow at 8am.
I got assignments to submit on 8th April
But,
I won't be around until 9th April because I'm the 'bidan terjun' storyteller who will be presenting the institute (of mental health) for KAGUM because the original story-teller was involved in an accident and unable to turn his head properly.
I haven't even memorize the story.
I know I won't be able to finish my task properly if I were to submit tomorrow.
And that particular assignment will be the whole mark for that particular subject.
to quote from the lecturer.
"Pandai-pandai awaklah, ni pun saya dah bagi extra days untuk awak semua hantar"
BANGANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
